The interior of Kirkham House has been designed by Karine Kaelin Interior Design.
It has a large kitchen diner which is well equipped with a range cooker, fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and washer-dryer, so you have everything you need whilst you are on your holiday. There is a large farmhouse table which comfortably seats eight people, so is perfect for groups and family meals.
The first floor living room has a lovely marble fireplace and sash windows, along with comfy velvet sofas and a coffee table. There is also a TV with iPlayer, DVD player and DVD collection, Apple TV, a stereo, piano, bookcase, toy cupboard and free Wi-Fi, all of which guests are welcome to use, so you should never find yourself short of something to do on a rainy day!
When it comes to sleeping arrangements, there are four bedrooms to choose from. The double bedroom on the first floor has a large wardrobe, as well as an en-suite complete with under floor heating.
The second floor has three further bedrooms, two of which have traditional vaulted ceilings and original fireplaces. One of these is a double with bedside tables and a wardrobe, and another has bunk beds and a chest of drawers which is perfect for children. The final bedroom also a double with a wardrobe and chest of drawers.
The house bathroom is also on the third floor, and is wet room style with a walk in shower and underfloor heating. Although there is no bath in Kirkham House, a baby bath is available for infants.
There is a communal grassed garden at the back of Kirkham House which really catches the afternoon sun. The bench by the front door is a great place to sit with a coffee on a morning and enjoy the fresh coastal air.

What people think about Kirkham House

Kirkham House is the perfect place to relax and recharge. Robin Hood's Bay is already such a special place and in Kirkham house the owner has created the perfect balance between escapism, home comfort and luxury. You'll never want to leave.

Robin Hood's Bay is a quaint location to explore with plenty of interesting walks to enjoy. With Kirkham House as superior accommodation having every comfort and amenity you can want for nothing more. There are good restaurants to eat at if you do not wish to cook. But I can recommend the lovely kitchen table to sit around after a meal and chill and chat or relax in the comfortable lounge.
